Nestled next to a quaint horseshoe-shaped fishing harbor, Kouloura Beach in Corfu is a hidden gem, perfect for those seeking tranquility and seclusion. This small bay, neighbouring Chouchoulio Beach, features a picturesque sand-and-pebble shoreline and crystal-clear waters, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful retreat. Despite its charm, Kouloura remains uncrowded, offering visitors a serene escape.

Kouloura bay is not just a beach but also a small harbour used by locals year-round. The harbour’s scenic beauty is renowned and has been immortalized in numerous paintings by artists inspired by its charm. Among the notable landmarks is a white house owned by the Italian Agnelli family, known for their connection to Ferrari, which served as their holiday residence.

The beach is partly organized, with a few sunbeds, umbrellas, and other amenities available. Additionally, large trees provide ample natural shade, adding to the beach’s serene atmosphere. Surrounded by lush forests, Kouloura can be accessed by following a scenic trail that leads directly to the shore.

Close to Kalami, Kouloura serves as a fishing boat harbour and is characterized by its tranquil environment. The area boasts a single taverna that specializes in locally caught fish and some meat dishes, and a charming church by the sea. It is framed by pine trees and a few private residences. While the nearby Kalami attracts tourists, particularly those interested in the Durrell family’s house, Kouloura and the intriguingly named Chouchoulio Beach remain largely undiscovered, offering a perfect hideaway for those in search of privacy and natural beauty.
